Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how BigHillMedia GbR ("we", "us", "our"), operator of cryptodiary.finance (the "Site"), handles information in connection with your use of the Site. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information as described below. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide. If you contact us by email (e.g. info@bighillmedia.com), we receive the contents of your message, your email address, and any other information you choose to include.

Automatically collected information. When you visit the Site, our hosting provider and our analytics tooling may automatically receive standard log and device data such as IP address, user agent, referrer, requested URL, response status, and approximate geographic region derived from the IP address. This data is used to operate, secure, and analyse the Site.

Cookies and similar technologies. The Site uses a minimal set of cookies and similar storage (such as localStorage) that are strictly necessary for the Site to function and for aggregate, privacy-preserving traffic analytics. We do not use cross-site advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser; some features of the Site may then not work.

2. How we use information

We use information to operate and maintain the Site; to respond to inquiries; to monitor and improve performance, stability, and security; to detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our terms; and to comply with legal obligations.

3. Third-party services

The Site relies on third-party service providers, which may process limited technical data on our behalf, including: a hosting / edge platform; a managed database and authentication backend; an AI gateway used to generate weekly news summaries and diary entries; and providers of embedded content (such as xrp.cafe NFT pages, X/Twitter, and YouTube). When you click an external link or interact with embedded third-party content, the relevant third party may collect data about you under its own privacy policy. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties.

4. Blockchain interactions

The XRP Ledger and other public blockchains referenced on the Site are public by design. Any on-chain interaction you perform — including viewing, purchasing, or transferring NFTs — is recorded permanently on a public ledger outside our control. We do not custody your wallet, private keys, or assets.

5. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)

To the extent the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process personal data on the following legal bases: performance of a contract or steps prior to entering a contract (e.g. handling your email inquiry); our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Site; compliance with legal obligations; and, where required, your consent (which you may withdraw at any time).

6. Data retention

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above or as required by applicable law. Server logs are typically retained for a short rolling period. Email correspondence may be retained for as long as needed to address your request and for record-keeping.

7. International transfers

The Site is hosted on global edge infrastructure and our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. By using the Site you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to, processed in, and stored in jurisdictions outside your country of residence.

We use commercially reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your data, and to object to processing. California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, the right to delete, and the right to opt out of "sales" or "sharing" of personal information — we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. 10. Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

11. Do Not Track

The Site does not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, as no consistent industry standard for such signals has been adopted.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects when changes were made. Continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
